Characteristics and scope of application:
For Al-Mg series anti-rust aluminum, the strength of 5052 is higher than 3A21 , especially has high fatigue strength. Similar to 3A21,5052 has high plasticity and corrosion resistance.5052 cannot improved strength by heat treatment. It is better in Atomic hydrogen weldingand contact welding, argon arc welding with crystallization crack tendency. Alloy has good machinability in cold work hardening and half cold work hardening condition, and not good machinability in annealing state, can be polished.

Mechanical properties
Low mechanical properties:
Tensile strength σ(MPa) : ≤225
Elongation delta δ(%) : ≥10
Note: rod longitudinal mechanical properties at room temperature
Sample size: bar diameter (square bar, hexagonal bar inscribed circle diameter) of 150 or less
Heat treatment specification:
1) homogenizing annealing: heating to 440 ℃. Holding time 12 ~ 14 h;Air cooling.
2) rapid annealing: heating to 350 ~ 350 ℃.The heat preservation time of 30 ~ 120 min;Air or water.
3) high temperature annealing: heating to 350 ~ 350 ℃.Thickness or < 6 mm or 6 mm, heat preservation time is 2 ~ 10 min or 10 ~ 30 min;Air cooling.
4) low temperature annealing: heating to 250 ~ 300 ℃and 150 ~ 180 ℃;Holding time is 1 ~ 2 h, air cooling.
