2.Current equivalent standards to superseded BS1501 include ASTM A285 & A516, ASME SA285 & SA516 and the Euro Norm standard EN 10028.BS 1501 is the British Standard specification for carbon and carbon manganese steel plates for pressure purposes.

3.The standard (which outlines standards for certain grades which are suitable for pressure vessel and boiler fabrication) has now been withdrawn and superseded by the Euro Norm standard EN 10028.

4.We Limited recognise that the steel industry still uses BS1501 for cross reference purposes which why is why our website provides technical information for BS150 specification and associative grades.
