GB/T 6653-2017 (issued 2017-12-29, effective 2018-09-01, replaces GB/T 6653-2008) specifies steel plates and strips for welded gas cylinders: hot-rolled 2.0 to 14.0 mm and cold-rolled 1.5 to 4.0 mm. It covers five grades, HP235, HP265, HP295, HP325 and HP345, named from the pinyin HP (welded cylinder) plus the minimum lower yield strength in MPa (235 to 345 MPa), with tensile strength from 380 to 620 MPa. Gangsteel produces and exports GB/T 6653 hot-rolled coil, pickled strip, cut plate, cold-rolled annealed sheet and circular blanks with EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certificates.
