2.MAS300 AR – Masteel's designation for 300 brinell hardness abrasion resistant steel. MAS300 AR is Masteel's designation for 300 brinell hardness abrasion resistant steel.

3.The material is a martensitic hardenable steel grade which has excellent strength and hardness characteristics making it resistant to the effects of abrasion and also increased surface pressure.

4.The steel has a brinell hardness range of 270-390 HBW and has good weldability using conventional welding methods. Heat treatment is not recommended as the process will reduce the hardness, strength and abrasion resistance of the material.
