S420N Steel Specifications: Welding & Processing

  • Weldability: CEV ≤ 0.48no preheat ≤50 mm
  • Preheat (>50 mm): 100–150°C
  • Interpass Temp: Max 200°C
  • PWHT: Optional (550–650°C)
  • Forming: Hot forming >850°C; re-normalize if <720°C
