What is S460N Steel?

S460N is a normalized or normalized rolled fine-grain structural steel under EN 10025-3, with:

  • S: Structural steel.
  • 460: Minimum yield strength of 460 MPa (≤16 mm).
  • N: Normalized, with impact toughness tested at -20°C.

S460N round bar is forged or hot-rolled into cylindrical shapes for high-strength components. Compared to en 10025 3 s355n normalized structural steel plate, S460N provides higher strength for more demanding uses.
