Gangsteel is a leading manufacturer and global exporter of GB/T 4237 06Cr19Ni10N stainless steel hot-rolled coils, plates, and wide heavy plates. Known internationally as Grade 304N (nitrogen-enhanced variant of 304), 06Cr19Ni10N is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel with controlled nitrogen addition (0.10–0.16%) that significantly improves yield strength, tensile strength, and pitting corrosion resistance while retaining the excellent formability, weldability, and general corrosion resistance of standard 304.
With 18% Cr, 8–11% Ni, and intentional nitrogen strengthening, 304N offers higher mechanical performance than conventional 304 (06Cr19Ni10) — especially in annealed condition — making it ideal for structural applications, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and components requiring improved strength without sacrificing corrosion resistance or fabricability.
Produced under GB/T 4237-2015 (Stainless Steel Hot-Rolled Sheets and Strips), Gangsteel supplies 06Cr19Ni10N in thicknesses from 2 mm to 500 mm and widths up to 4200 mm — one of the widest hot-rolling capabilities in the industry. Our products are delivered in standard hot-rolled finishes No.1 (annealed & pickled) and 2D (annealed & pickled dull) and are exported worldwide to chemical processing, energy, food & beverage, architectural, rail transit, and heavy fabrication sectors.
Gangsteel’s wide heavy-plate rolling mills enable single-piece production of large-scale tanks, pressure vessel heads, and structural panels, reducing welds and improving integrity. We maintain strict control over nitrogen content and annealing to ensure consistent strength and corrosion performance.

Key Insight: 06Cr19Ni10N (304N) provides ~20–30% higher yield strength than standard 304 due to nitrogen addition, with similar corrosion resistance.
Gangsteel's hot-rolling process for 06Cr19Ni10N includes:
Thickness range: 2 mm – 500 mm Width range: up to 4200 mm Length: up to 18 m (plate) or coil form
Finishes: No.1 (annealed & pickled), 2D (annealed & pickled dull)
All compliant with GB/T 4237-2015; optional third-party certification (SGS, TUV, BV).
Forms stable Cr oxide layer; resists rust in fresh water, mild acids, organics, and atmospheres. Nitrogen addition slightly improves pitting resistance. Oxidation resistance up to ~870°C intermittent.
Excellent weldability with TIG/MIG/resistance/laser; low carbon minimizes sensitization. Use ER308/ER308L fillers. High ductility supports complex forming.
Every heat is tested for chemistry, mechanical properties, surface quality, and dimensions. Full MTRs (EN 10204 3.1) and third-party certification available.
Coils eye-to-wall/eye-to-sky on steel pallets; plates bundled with skids; seaworthy export packaging with waterproof wrapping and edge protection.
Q1: What is the main benefit of 304N (06Cr19Ni10N) over standard 304?
A: The intentional nitrogen addition increases yield strength by 20–30% while maintaining similar corrosion resistance and formability, making it ideal for structural and pressure-containing applications.
Q2: Can 06Cr19Ni10N be used in coastal or chloride-containing environments?
A: Suitable for mild exposure, but for long-term marine or high-chloride service, 316L or 444 is recommended for superior pitting resistance.
Q3: What finishes are available under GB/T 4237 for hot-rolled 304N?
A: Standard finishes are No.1 (annealed & pickled) and 2D (annealed & pickled dull). No.1 is most common for further processing.
Q4: What is the maximum width and thickness Gangsteel can produce for 06Cr19Ni10N?
A: Up to 4200 mm wide and 500 mm thick in hot-rolled plates; coils typically 2–25 mm thick.
Q5: Is 304N weldable? What filler should be used?
A: Yes, excellent weldability. Use ER308 or ER308L fillers for matching properties.
Q6: Does Gangsteel offer third-party inspection for GB/T 4237 304N material?
A: Yes — SGS, TUV, BV, or customer-nominated agencies are welcome at any stage.
Q7: What is the lead time for hot-rolled 06Cr19Ni10N coils or plates?
A: Standard sizes from stock: 7–15 days. Custom wide/heavy plates: 25–45 days depending on thickness and quantity.
Q8: Can Gangsteel provide 304N with BA or 2B finish?
A: Hot-rolled material is No.1 or 2D. For BA or 2B, we supply cold-rolled versions under GB/T 3280.
