Gangsteel is a leading manufacturer and global exporter of GB/T 4237 06Cr18Ni13Si4 stainless steel hot-rolled coils, plates, and wide heavy plates. Internationally recognized as Grade 314 (also known as 314S or AISI 314), 06Cr18Ni13Si4 is a high-silicon, high-chromium, high-nickel austenitic heat-resisting stainless steel specifically engineered for exceptional resistance to oxidation, carburization, nitridation, and cyclic thermal fatigue at very high temperatures — continuous service up to 1150°C and intermittent up to 1200°C in oxidizing atmospheres.
With 23–26% Cr, 19–22% Ni, and significantly elevated silicon (1.5–3.0%), 314 forms an extremely stable and protective silicon-chromium oxide scale that provides outstanding scaling resistance and carburization protection in high-temperature furnaces, incinerators, and process equipment where standard heat-resisting grades like 310S fail due to severe oxidation or carburizing conditions.
Produced under GB/T 4237-2015 (Stainless Steel Hot-Rolled Sheets and Strips), Gangsteel supplies 06Cr18Ni13Si4 in thicknesses from 2 mm to 500 mm and widths up to 4200 mm — one of the widest hot-rolling capabilities available worldwide. Our products are delivered in standard hot-rolled finishes No.1 (annealed & pickled) and 2D (annealed & pickled dull) and are exported globally to petrochemical, power generation, cement kiln, waste incineration, glass melting, ceramic kiln, and high-temperature furnace industries.
Gangsteel’s wide heavy-plate rolling mills enable single-piece production of large radiant tubes, furnace muffles, retorts, calciner shells, burner nozzles, and high-temperature conveyor belts, minimizing welds and maximizing service life in extreme oxidizing and carburizing environments. We maintain strict control over silicon and annealing to ensure consistent high-temperature scaling resistance and creep strength.

Key Insight: 06Cr18Ni13Si4 (314) provides superior oxidation and carburization resistance than 310S due to high silicon content (1.5–3.0%).
Gangsteel's hot-rolling process for 06Cr18Ni13Si4 includes:
Thickness range: 2 mm – 500 mm Width range: up to 4200 mm Length: up to 18 m (plate) or coil form
Finishes: No.1 (annealed & pickled), 2D (annealed & pickled dull)
All compliant with GB/T 4237-2015; optional third-party certification (SGS, TUV, BV).
High Si + Cr/Ni forms an extremely adherent oxide scale; excellent in oxidizing atmospheres, resists carburization/sulfidation. Low carbon minimizes sensitization. Oxidation resistance ~1150°C continuous, ~1100°C cyclic.
Good weldability with TIG/MIG; low carbon reduces sensitization. Use ER314 or ER310 fillers. High ductility supports forming; annealing may be needed post-weld for critical uses.
Every heat is tested for chemistry, mechanical properties, surface quality, and dimensions. Full MTRs (EN 10204 3.1) and third-party certification available.
Coils eye-to-wall/eye-to-sky on steel pallets; plates bundled with skids; seaworthy export packaging with waterproof wrapping and edge protection.
Q1: What is the main advantage of 314 (06Cr18Ni13Si4) over 310S?
A: 314 has significantly higher silicon (1.5–3.0% vs. ≤1.5% in 310S), forming a much more protective and adherent oxide scale, providing superior oxidation, carburization, and thermal fatigue resistance at temperatures above 1000°C.
Q2: Can 06Cr18Ni13Si4 be used in reducing or carburizing atmospheres?
A: Yes, it performs very well in carburizing and mildly sulfidizing environments due to high Si + Cr/Ni; for severely reducing conditions, nickel alloys (e.g., 800H) may be better.
Q3: What finishes are available under GB/T 4237 for hot-rolled 314?
A: Standard finishes are No.1 (annealed & pickled) and 2D (annealed & pickled dull). No.1 is most common for further processing.
Q4: What is the maximum width and thickness Gangsteel can produce for 06Cr18Ni13Si4?
A: Up to 4200 mm wide and 500 mm thick in hot-rolled plates; coils typically 2–25 mm thick.
Q5: Is 314 weldable? What filler should be used?
A: Yes, good weldability. Use ER314 or ER310 fillers to match high-temperature properties.
Q6: Does Gangsteel offer third-party inspection for GB/T 4237 314 material?
A: Yes — SGS, TUV, BV, or customer-nominated agencies are welcome at any stage.
Q7: What is the lead time for hot-rolled 06Cr18Ni13Si4 coils or plates?
A: Standard sizes from stock: 7–15 days. Custom wide/heavy plates: 25–45 days depending on thickness and quantity.
Q8: Can Gangsteel provide 314 with BA or 2B finish?
A: Hot-rolled material is No.1 or 2D. For BA or 2B, we supply cold-rolled versions under GB/T 3280.
