  1. ASTM A353/353M standard specification for pressure vessel 9% Ni alloy steel plates. The heat treatment is normalized and tempered.

   ASTM A353 specification covers 9% nickel steel plates that are double-normalized and tempered, and this steel is used for cryogenic welded pressure vessels.

 

  1. ASTM A353 Grade used at welded pressure and the A353 impact test degree is -195degree. The max thickness is 50mm according to standard.

 But our factory can produce max thickness to 100mm

  1. Heat treatment

First heat treatment: 900degree -+15degree, the time is min 2.4minutes each mm. The total time min is 15 minutes, then cooling in air.

Second heat treatment: 790degree -+15degree, the time is min 2.4minutes each mm. The total time min is 15 minutes, then cooling in air.

Tempering.  A353 steel plate degree is at 565-605degree. the time is min 2.4minutes each mm. The total time min is 15 minutes, then cooling fastly at 165degree each hour.
