What is SA 240 Gr 304 Material Specification

ASME SA 240 Grade 304 stainless steel plate is one of the most versatile and widely used grades of stainless steel. It belongs to the austenitic stainless steel family and is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, and weldability. SA240 Grade 304 is part of the ASTM A240/ASME SA240 standard, which specifies chromium and chromium-nickel stainless steel plate, sheet, and strip for pressure vessels and general applications.
