Gangsteel is a leading manufacturer and global exporter of GB/T 4237 06Cr18Ni11Ti stainless steel hot-rolled coils, plates, and wide heavy plates. Internationally recognized as Grade 321 — a classic titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel — 06Cr18Ni11Ti is specifically engineered to provide excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding or prolonged exposure to temperatures in the 425–815°C (800–1500°F) sensitization range.
With 17–19% Cr, 9–12% Ni, and titanium stabilization (Ti ≥ 5 × C), 321 prevents chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries, maintaining full corrosion resistance in the heat-affected zone without the need for post-weld annealing in most applications. It offers the same excellent general corrosion resistance as 304 in atmospheric, mild chemical, and organic environments, combined with superior high-temperature oxidation resistance and creep strength up to 870°C intermittent.
Produced under GB/T 4237-2015 (Stainless Steel Hot-Rolled Sheets and Strips), Gangsteel supplies 06Cr18Ni11Ti in thicknesses from 2 mm to 500 mm and widths up to 4200 mm — one of the widest hot-rolling capabilities available worldwide. Our products are delivered in standard hot-rolled finishes No.1 (annealed & pickled) and 2D (annealed & pickled dull) and are exported globally to petrochemical, power generation, aerospace, heat exchanger, furnace, exhaust system, and high-temperature piping industries.
Gangsteel’s wide heavy-plate rolling mills enable single-piece production of large heat exchanger tubesheets, furnace parts, exhaust manifolds, and welded piping spools, minimizing welds and improving long-term intergranular corrosion resistance. We maintain precise titanium-to-carbon ratio control and solution annealing to deliver consistent stabilization and high-temperature performance.

Key Insight: 06Cr18Ni11Ti (321) provides excellent intergranular corrosion resistance at 425–815°C due to titanium stabilization, outperforming unstabilized 304 in welded high-temperature service.
Gangsteel's hot-rolling process for 06Cr18Ni11Ti includes:
Thickness range: 2 mm – 500 mm Width range: up to 4200 mm Length: up to 18 m (plate) or coil form
Finishes: No.1 (annealed & pickled), 2D (annealed & pickled dull)
All compliant with GB/T 4237-2015; optional third-party certification (SGS, TUV, BV).
Forms stable Cr oxide layer; resists atmospheric, mild acids, and organics. Titanium stabilization eliminates intergranular corrosion risk in sensitized range. Oxidation resistance up to ~870°C intermittent.
Excellent weldability with TIG/MIG/resistance/laser; titanium prevents sensitization. Use ER321 or ER347 fillers. High ductility supports complex forming.
Every heat is tested for chemistry, mechanical properties, surface quality, and dimensions. Full MTRs (EN 10204 3.1) and third-party certification available.
Coils eye-to-wall/eye-to-sky on steel pallets; plates bundled with skids; seaworthy export packaging with waterproof wrapping and edge protection.
Q1: What is the main advantage of 321 (06Cr18Ni11Ti) over 304?
A: 321 is titanium-stabilized to prevent intergranular corrosion after welding or exposure to 425–815°C, making it suitable for high-temperature welded structures where 304 would be at risk of sensitization.
Q2: Can 06Cr18Ni11Ti be used in chloride-containing environments?
A: It has similar general corrosion resistance to 304 — moderate in mild chlorides — but not recommended for long-term marine or high-chloride service. Use 316L or 317L for better pitting resistance.
Q3: What finishes are available under GB/T 4237 for hot-rolled 321?
A: Standard finishes are No.1 (annealed & pickled) and 2D (annealed & pickled dull). No.1 is most common for further processing.
Q4: What is the maximum width and thickness Gangsteel can produce for 06Cr18Ni11Ti?
A: Up to 4200 mm wide and 500 mm thick in hot-rolled plates; coils typically 2–25 mm thick.
Q5: Is 321 weldable? What filler should be used?
A: Yes, excellent weldability. Use ER321 or ER347 fillers to match the titanium stabilization.
Q6: Does Gangsteel offer third-party inspection for GB/T 4237 321 material?
A: Yes — SGS, TUV, BV, or customer-nominated agencies are welcome at any stage.
Q7: What is the lead time for hot-rolled 06Cr18Ni11Ti coils or plates?
A: Standard sizes from stock: 7–15 days. Custom wide/heavy plates: 25–45 days depending on thickness and quantity.
Q8: Can Gangsteel provide 321 with BA or 2B finish?
A: Hot-rolled material is No.1 or 2D. For BA or 2B, we supply cold-rolled versions under GB/T 3280.
