What is Steel S355ML EN 10025-4 Fine Grain Plate?

Steel S355ML is a thermomechanically rolled (TMCP) weldable fine grain structural steel specified in EN 10025-4:2004 (current version 2019).

The "fine grain" designation is the key feature: the TMCP process combined with microalloying (Nb, V, Ti) produces a very fine-grained microstructure (ASTM grain size 8–11),which is the reason for S355ML's excellent combination of high strength, superior low-temperature toughness, and outstanding weldability.
