What is S355ML Specification EN 10025-4?

S355ML is a thermomechanically rolled (TMCP) weldable fine-grain structural steel specified in EN 10025-4:2004 (current version 2019).

The full specification covers:

Delivery condition: Thermomechanical rolled (M)
Minimum yield strength: 355 MPa (transverse, t ≤ 16 mm)
Tensile strength: 470–630 MPa
Minimum elongation: 22 %
Impact toughness: ≥ 27 J at –50 °C (longitudinal)
Carbon equivalent CEV ≤ 0.39
Fine grain structure guaranteed by Al + Nb + V + Ti microalloying

The specification also includes options for:

Z-quality (through-thickness properties) Z25 or Z35
Improved deformation properties perpendicular to the surface (option 3)
Normalized rolling as alternative delivery condition (by agreement)
