EN 10025-4 S355ML is TMCP weldable fine-grain steel per EN 10025-4:2004 (2019 update), for high-strength low-temp use. "S355" = 355 MPa yield; "M" = thermomechanical; "L" = -50°C ≥27J KV. TMCP (900-1100°C roll, 20-40°C/s cool) refines ferrite-bainite grains (ASTM 8-10), boosting ductility (≥22% A5) and weldability (CEV ≤0.39, no preheat to 80 mm).
Vs. normalized S355NL, TMCP lowers stresses, improves isotropy for fatigue (170 MPa limit). Z-test: Z25/Z35 (EN 10164) for tension welds. NDT: UT S2/E2 standard.
