430 Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Sheet 2B

Gangsteel produces 430 cold rolled stainless steel sheet with the classic 2B finish in full compliance with the leading international standards. We can manufacture to any of the following major specifications to meet your exact project requirements:

  • JIS G4305 SUS430(Japan)
  • ASTM A240 Type 430(USA)
  • EN 10088-2 1.4016 / X6Cr17(Europe)
  • DIN EN 1.4016(Germany)
  • GB/T 3280 10Cr17 / 1Cr17(China)
  • BS 1449 430S17(United Kingdom)
  • ISO 4954 X6Cr17(International)

No matter which standard your project calls for — or if you need dual certification — we’ve got you covered with consistent quality and competitive pricing straight from our modern Chinese mills.

What Makes 430 2B Sheet So Popular?

The 2B finish is the everyday workhorse of the stainless world. After cold rolling, the coils are annealed and pickled, then given a light skin-pass on polished rolls. The result is a smooth, slightly reflective matte silver-gray surface that’s clean, uniform, and ready for fabrication right out of the box. It’s not flashy like BA, but it’s tough, practical, and hides minor scratches and fingerprints better than you’d expect.

Because it’s a nickel-free ferritic grade, 430 2B sheet gives you great value without the price swings of 304. You get solid atmospheric corrosion resistance, excellent thermal conductivity (about 26 W/m·K), low thermal expansion, and full magnetism — all at a much friendlier cost.

Chemical Composition

We keep the chemistry tight across every standard:

Element

Content (wt%)

Carbon (C)

≤0.12

Chromium (Cr)

16.00–18.00

Manganese (Mn)

≤1.00

Silicon (Si)

≤1.00

Phosphorus (P)

≤0.040

Sulfur (S)

≤0.030

Nickel (Ni)

≤0.75

This balance delivers reliable corrosion resistance and good weldability without the brittleness issues you sometimes see in higher-carbon ferritics.

Mechanical Properties

Here’s what you can expect in the annealed condition (standard for 2B sheet):

Property

Value

Yield Strength (0.2% offset)

≥205 MPa

Tensile Strength

≥450 MPa

Elongation (50 mm gauge)

≥22%

Hardness (Rockwell B)

≤89 HRB

Hardness (Brinell)

≤183 HB

These numbers mean you can deep-draw, bend, or stamp without cracking, yet the material still holds up well in everyday structural use.

Available Sizes and Finishes

Our standard range for 430 2B sheet includes:

  • Thickness: 0.3 mm – 3.0 mm (up to 6 mm on special order)
  • Width: 600 mm – 2000 mm (slit or mill edge)
  • Length: Up to 6000 mm for cut sheets
  • Tolerance: Thickness ±0.03 mm, width ±0.5 mm, flatness ≤8 mm/m

We also offer the same material in coil form or with other finishes (BA, NO.4, HL) if your project needs them. Every piece leaves our factory protected with PVC or PE film to stay scratch-free during shipping.

Manufacturing Process at Gangsteel

We start with high-purity AOD-refined melt to nail the chemistry. After hot rolling, the coils go through multiple cold-rolling passes on precision mills, then annealing and pickling to remove scale. A final light skin-pass on polished rolls creates the signature 2B surface. Every coil is checked with eddy-current testers and AI vision systems before it ships. You’ll receive full mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2) plus any third-party inspection you request.

If you prefer the same grade in coil or other finishes, feel free to check our a240 Type_430 stainless steel sheet, EN10088 2 X6Cr17 stainless steel sheet, DIN 1.4016 stainless steel sheet, GB/T 10Cr17 1Cr17 stainless steel sheet, or JIS G4305 SUS 430 stainless steel sheet.

Key Advantages of Our 430 2B Sheet
